Niagara Adventure Excursions and WildPlay Element Parks collaboration on aerial adventure course and zip lines, located on the lands of The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC).

Niagara Adventure Excursions, in collaboration with Canadian adventure recreation company WildPlay Ltd., is introducing two new attractions to Niagara Falls, Ontario: a zip line, and an aerial adventure course, to be located on the lands of The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC).

Zip lines at Niagara Falls
Light on intensity, large on flying free, the classic zip lines are fun for guests age seven and older to glide across beautiful natural landscapes. The human-powered element is popular with those who want a swift, guided adventure.

The Niagara Falls experience will offer four parallel zip lines that will descend a distance of 670 metres (2,200 feet) from NPC’s Grand View Marketplace into the Niagara Gorge below.  Providing stunning picture-perfect views of both the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls, these new zip lines will allow visitors an opportunity to experience and interpret Niagara, the Gorge and Niagara Parks in a unique way.

Aerial Adventure Course at Thompson Point
Located alongside the Niagara Parkway at the Whirlpool at Thompson Point, the aerial adventure course will be a playful and active outdoor experience for adults, teens, kids ages five and older, and groups. A series of suspended obstacle games encourage guests to have fun in nature while accomplishing new challenges.

The Kids, Classic, and Extreme courses are the first of their kind in the Niagara Region. The recreational activity challenges physical skills and strengthens mental courage – all while providing awe-inspiring views of the Niagara Whirlpool and Gorge. Guests will navigate self-paced obstacle games, which include: zip lines, ladders, rope swings, scrambling walls, hanging nets, spinning logs, wobbly bridges, tightropes, monkey bars, and more suspended surprises up to sixty feet high. The level of difficulty and height progress as guests maneuver through their aerial adventure.
Why did Niagara Adventure Excursions select the WildPlay Element Parks concept?

Niagara Adventure Excursions was inspired by the WildPlay Element Parks concept that fun nature-based challenges give people of various abilities a way to overcome self-perceived boundaries. WildPlay Co-founders, Tom Benson (Chief Experience Officer) and Gord Ross, are veteran mountain climbing guides who connect people with nature through outdoor aerial activities, and have innovated tree-to-tree style attractions, zip lines, and more adrenaline-type activities into the North American adventure recreation industry.

Award-winning WildPlay Element Parks, chosen by Niagara Adventure Excursions, has a nine-year history of opening and operating nature-based adventure Parks throughout North America. The first WildPlay location, in Nanaimo, BC, opened in March 2006. Initially offering the well-known Bungy Jump and the Primal Swing activities, the Park introduced the company’s original Monkido® Aerial Adventure and DragonFLY Zip Lines. Expansion followed over the next six years as WildPlay took root in Victoria, BC, Maple Ridge, BC, Kelowna, BC, Wood Buffalo, AB, and now Niagara Falls, ON.

The aerial adventure course will be located at the north side of the Whirlpool at Thompson Point, along the Niagara Parkway.
Providing stunning visuals of both the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the zip lines will take guests from NPC’s Grand View Marketplace, located within Queen Victoria Park, to the base of the former Ontario Power Company building in the Niagara Gorge.
